Skin Examples

Below you can find different examples of skins for Rymble. (*) Example skins to show potential possibilities. No official products. All rights belong to their respective owners.

Facebook

The Facebook skin has 2 metrics and 3 indicators:

  • Social activity metric: informs about the level of social activity in your wall during the last day/hour.
  • Messages metric: informs about the number of messages/notifications unread.
  • Like indicator: someone liked your content (post, photo, comment, …).
  • Tagged indicator: you were tagged in a photo.
  • Comment indicator: someone commented on your content (post, photo, …).

Sports team skin

The Sports Team skin has 2 metrics and 3 indicators:

  • Social activity metric: informs about the level of social activity in the team’s Facebook fan page during the last day/hour.
  • Competition metric: informs about the position of the team in the most relevant competition (generally league).
  • Happy moment indicator: something really good happened to your team (match won, milestone achieved, big increase in fan base, …).
  • Match event indicator: an important event in a current ongoing match has happened. Events may be different depending on the sport (goal, penalty, 3-point field goal,  …).
  • Official post indicator: there is a new official post in the Facebook fan page of the team.

Artist

The Artist skin has 2 metrics and 3 indicators:

  • Social activity metric: informs about the level of social activity in the artist’s Facebook fan page during the last day/hour.
  • Ranking metric: informs about the position of the artist in the most relevant ranking (e.g., music ranking sales).
  • Happy moment indicator: something really good happened to your favorite artist (new single, milestone achieved, big increase in fan base, …).
  • Performing indicator: the artist is currently performing in an event.
  • Official post indicator: there is a new official post in the Facebook fan page of the artist.

    Looking at this, it seems like a beautifully simple device – Microcontroller, stepper motor, LED and speaker. It’s been turned into something extremely creative though. Will you release a 3D template so that people can print their own skins, or is that your ‘razor-blades’ investment angle?

      Hi Gray!

      Thank you for your comment! At least initially, we would like to have some “official” skins for very popular topics, as the examples shown above, but obviously we cannot scale for every single particular topic. That’s why our idea is to provide the tools (base designs) for people to create their skins (and maybe partnering with some company to have them 3D printed/manufactured if enough demand).

      We will also provide the API tools so those skins can be linked to appropriate Internet services that feed them with data (either social networks or any other open data such as real-time weather/traffic info). Therefore, any coherent combination of physical+informational outcome may be possible!
